Tanzanian Ambassador to the Benelux becomes Patron

H.E. the Tanzanian Ambassador to the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Mr. Simon Uforsia Mlay has honoured us by becoming the Patron of Malaika Kids Netherlands. Ted Koch, co-founder of Malaika Kids visited the ambassador in Brussels. In a conversation lasting almost three hours, the ambassador was informed in detail about the Malaika Kids project.

Mr. Mlay was very positive about our approach, that Tanzanians have the responsibility for the running of the project. He was also very impressed by our financial control system and the transparency in the use of donor’s money. He therefore promised to use his network and influence to stimulate fund raising in the Benelux.

He looks forward to being actively involved with the project, and on 11th May opened the Art for Care exhibition that is donating both the entry fees and a percentage of sales to Malaika Kids.
