Message from our Patron
It is with great pleasure that I formally accept your invitation to be patron of Malaika Kids. This acceptance is a recognition by myself and the High Commission of Tanzania of the noble work Malaika Kids is doing for the under privileged children in Tanzania.

14 runners complete the British 10k for Malaika Kids

On Sunday 12th July, amongst the 30,000 or so runners in the British 10k, were 14 who represented Malaika Kids. This event must be one of the largest in central London, starting at Hyde Park Corner and taking in many of the top London sites of St James's Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Not that the runners had much opportunity to feast their eyes on these since the course was crowded with thousands of runners and their supporters, the pace was fast and the atmosphere electric. It was most heartening to see that most of the participants were supporting a favoured charity.
Our thanks go to those who have raised money to support our activities in Tanzania. Four of our group of runners will be raising sponsorship for Malaika Kids in September when they climb Kilimanjaro and three will be tackling the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October. We wish them well.
