- It is with great pleasure that I formally accept your invitation to be patron of Malaika Kids. This acceptance is a recognition by myself and the High Commission of Tanzania of the noble work Malaika Kids is doing for the under privileged children in Tanzania.
Help prevent 35 orphans ending up on the streets!
| Many orphans in Tanzania are cared for by their family. For many families, this care becomes too much of a financial burden in the long term and they turn to the government to take over the care of the orphans. Malaika Kids tries to take these children into the Relatives Support Program, so that they can remain with their families. Recently the Tanzanian government approached Malaika Kids and asked them to take 35 children into the Relatives Support Program. Without our support many of these children will be taken into a shelter, but in practice this means many will end up on the streets. At this moment Malaika Kids does not have sufficient funds to help the families of these children. We are therefore appealing for donors to support these children for a minimum of 5 years. If 180 donors can give 5 pounds each month, the place of these children within their family is assured for at least 5 years. Unnecessary pain and suffering of the children and families can be avoided. |
