Lela Mustafa, 12 years old

Lela lived with her parents and little brother Sadi (who also lives with Malaika Kids) on the streets of Dar es Salaam. Both parents were drug addicts, developed AIDS and died shortly afterwards. Lela and Sadi were cared for by their grandmother, who was unfortunately too old to continue. In early 2004 she asked the government for help and in March 2004, Lela and Sadi found a home with Malaika Kids. School: Class 5 Likes in School: Math Loves to play netball in the yard with the other children and singing songs. Wants to be when grows up: Computer Engineer.
