| About Malaika Kids | ||
| Malaika Kids UK is a registered charity whose aim is to make a difference to the lives of hundreds of orphaned children in the Dar es Salaam area of Tanzania by giving them a real home and the chance to develop to their full potential. We are: | ||
| Providing immediate housing, medical care and education for orphans in our Reception Home in Dar es Salaam whilst we plan for their secure future | ||
| Searching for distant relatives who can foster the child and who will ensure that he or she attends school, supported and monitored under our Relatives Support Programme | ||
| Giving long term care to children who have no relatives in a family based environment in our Children’s Village | ||
| Continuing the Village construction programme to our own unique and cost-effective design to provide for over 300 registered orphans | ||
| Prioritising the children’s education through attendance at local schools, supplemented by remedial teaching and skills training within the Village | ||
