- It is with great pleasure that I formally accept your invitation to be patron of Malaika Kids. This acceptance is a recognition by myself and the High Commission of Tanzania of the noble work Malaika Kids is doing for the under privileged children in Tanzania.

Once that had been done, we could take the next step. We were keen to get going, and the compensation of farmers convinced local civil servants that we meant business. They therefore agreed that we could begin clearing vegetation from the site required for the actual building of the village. |

| We now have the so-called Certificate of Occupancy and can go on to the next step; applying for building permits. Fortunately this shouldn’t take long as only local government is involved. | |||
