- It is with great pleasure that I formally accept your invitation to be patron of Malaika Kids. This acceptance is a recognition by myself and the High Commission of Tanzania of the noble work Malaika Kids is doing for the under privileged children in Tanzania.

25-12-2005 - Last Saturday (Christmas eve) Malaika Kids took up a very special invitation. They had been invited to one of the most beautiful and expensive hotels of Dar es Salaam: the Kempinski Kilimanjaro Hotel.
Expansion of activities to help more children
11-12-2005 - In June 2005 we started with the Relatives Support Program. Recently this was evaluated and the results are so positive that we have decided to make this an integral part of our policy.

01-08-2005 - Every year to celebrate Mwenge, politicians and celebrities visit important projects in the different districts of Tanzania. In the district Kinondoni, where the children’s home is, Malaika Kids is chosen as the most important project this year.

A visit to the Chairman
19-06-2005 - Before we can begin working on the land we need the cooperation of the residents, and owners but above all the commitment of the Chairman'. The chairman represents the population in an area and resolves local differences.
Support from the district commissioner in Mkuranga
14-06-2005 - Tanzania is divided in districts. The first children’s village will be in the district Mkuranga. At the head of each district is a commissioner. It’s therefore important that Haifa Kara, the district commissioner of Mkuranga is fully behind our project.
Help for Habibu
14-04-2005 - At the end of February a new boy came to live in the home. Habibu is fourteen years old and physically handicapped. He walks with difficulty and is visually impaired.
The first building blocks!
31-03-2005 - These are just the blocks to mark out the land, but it’s a start! We bought more than 20 hectare land, for just €4000. This low price was agreed after mediation by a helpful district commissioner.
