23-12-2006 - During her two month stay in Tanzania, Suzan van Geldorp successfully obtained a grant of US$16,000 to refurbish the Children’s Home in Dar es Salaam.
New computer for Malaika Kids in Tanzania
03-12-2006 - It may seem a long way from what the orphans of Malaika Kids really need, but a PC and the internet is actually vitally important. The problem was that the computer in the children’s home in Dar-es-Salaam could no longer keep up with the digital highway.
Suzan celebrates her birthday with the Malaika kids
12-11-2006 - Suzan van Geldorp is working for Malaika Kids in Dar-es-Salaam for a period of two months. Apart from working on a number of plans, she also works in the children’s home. What do you do then on your birthday? Celebrate with the children of course!
Doctor and dentist pay a visit
29-09-2006 - The care for our children naturally includes medical care; here also our volunteers play a crucial role. This time it was Mama Bev a supporter of Malaika Kids for a number of years – who brought doctors and dentists with her on a recent visit.
Preparing the site in Mkuranga
10-06-2006 - A couple of months ago we reported that Malaika Kids had become the official owner of 8 hectares of land in Mkuranga. An important step, but the real work still had to begin. A couple of weeks ago a start was made by 'cleaning' the land.

24-03-2006 - That the work of Malaika Kids is also valued and supported in Tanzania, was confirmed again on 22 March, when the Standard Chartered Bank of Dar es Salaam treated all the Malaika kids to a day out.
