17-06-2008 - Malaika Kids community Village in Mkuranga was honoured with the arrival of the Uhuru Torch on June 6th. Awarded to the most outstanding new social initiatives, it naturally drew a lot of attention to our project from Tanzanian politicians and dignitaries

Maths Lessons at the Children’s home
26-04-2008 - Fundraiser Ben Nijssen and architect Kees Dwarshuis put on an extempore lesson in Geography, English and Maths to the kids in their small classroom.
Robinson family dedicates memorial building to son Scott
21-04-2008 - Scott Robinson died tragically at 19 of cerebral malaria whilst on holiday in Panama, having just travelled from Tanzania where he had been working with an oil and gas discovery project in the Mkuranga district. He had explored our new Village site.
Building has begun!
